Possible reference to the children's story "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll, where the main character, Alice, drinks first a bottle labeled "Drink Me" (which shrinks her down to a small size) and then eats a cake labeled "Eat Me" that makes her tall again.
Also note the similar reference in the Jefferson Airplane song White Rabbit "One pill makes you larger and one pill makes you small".
